Piravom polls likely to be on March 17
Political parties wanted the Piravom polls to be reschedule to March 17. This was conveyed at the all-party meet convened by the Election Commission to discuss the change in the date. Both LDF and the UDF are united on this. The parties also requested not to extend the poll date beyond March 18.
It was only the BSP which went against rescheduling the poll date. The LDF said that if needed the exams scheduled on March 17 may be shifted and wanted the EC not to change polling booths alloted in schools.
